The lush landscaped campus features plants selected by Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and sits atop a ridge immediately off Southwest Parkway and William Cannon Drive, only 15 minutes from downtown Austin. The Summit at Lantana offers panoramas of expansive hills to the north, south, and west, and Austin's burgeoning city skyline to the east.
In 2017, The Summit at Lantana was awarded the International Outstanding Building of the Year award under the suburban low-rise office park category, by Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA).
The TOBY Awards are the commercial real estate industry’s highest recognition honoring excellence in commercial building management and operations. To win an International TOBY award, a property first must win both local and regional competitions. Judging is based on community impact, tenant and employee relations programs, energy management systems, accessibility, emergency evacuation procedures, building personnel training programs and overall quality indicators. A team of expert industry professional also conducted comprehensive building inspections.
In 2009, The Summit at Lantana was awarded LEED Gold Certification from the US Green Building Counsel, making it the largest LEED-Certified corporate campus in Texas at the time.
The overall design goal for the campus was to limit size impact on the site, preserve water quality and provide a working environment that was aesthetically pleasing, yet highly adaptable and functional for corporate office use. As a result, the campus was completed with a conservative footprint achieving 20% reduction in impervious services, a rainwater collection system that provides 100% of the campus’ landscaping irrigation and adaptive office buildings, well-suited for both single- and multi-tenant users.
